A spring weekend in Colorado

We planned a quick trip to Colorado around the beginning of April for some spring skiing, and it turned out to be a really spring-y weekend. On Saturday we went up to Winter Park (I think we fit in 10 different ski resorts this season!) with Nathan and hit some of the toughest spring conditions — very choppy and chattery in the shade, very glue-y in the sun. It was a beautiful day out, but we were really struggling to keep ourselves from jolting over the tips of our skis, so we ended up quitting pretty soon after lunch. So we headed back to Hilary and Nathan’s and had a lovely dinner with them and Greta.

When we got together with Jeff and Michelle on Sunday, we decided that maybe another trip up to the mountains wasn’t the best use of our time. So…beer! We went to a couple of breweries in Golden, Coors and a smaller one with a lovely outdoor area. Then it was back to Jeff and Michelle’s for a BBQ dinner and some yard time with Zuma.
