Approaching the Ice Caves
Over in Palmer Lake CO, there’s a trail towards a pair of reservoirs that skirt a ravine filled with huge boulders that you can scramble up onto and around. It’s a hike that the Limbird family has done quite a few times – it never gets old. The “Ice Caves” title is a bit of a misnomer – there’s one section within the boulder field where the rocks have formed a pseudo-cave (in the sense that it has an entrance and an exit, and between those two spots there’s a ceiling of boulders) that’s covered in ice, even in the middle of summer.
Also, a challenge – in each of these photos there is at least one person. Can you find someone in each one?
A red shirt really helps!
Hah, indeed : )
