Finishing Strong in Graubünden
Our final destination on our trip through Switzerland was the town of Bergün in Parc Ela, a Swiss National Park in the Graubünden region. To get there from Lake Como, we drove through St. Moritz and some very pretty mountain towns. We stopped for a few scenic views and a short walk to a castle.
In Bergün, we stayed at the Kurhaus, an old hotel where people used to go to “take the waters” and that has been beautifully restored. Claire had stayed there once before and managed to get us a reservation (we had a suite of two rooms with a bathroom and mudroom of sorts) even though there was a wedding taking place and lots of guests staying at the hotel.
Our main reason for visiting Bergün was to hike around in the park, so we spent most of our time up on the hillsides enjoying the views and the mountain air. The town was cute as well, so we wandered around there a bit, too. And we also spent some time enjoying the beautiful Kurhaus.
We should definitely just build a castle.
